Avarni recognised as SOC 2 compliant

SYDNEY, Australia: 20 December 2023 Avarni reached a major company milestone in December following the completion of its Service Organisational Control Type 1 (SOC 2), the cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

To remain compliant with SOC 2 specifications, companies must be audited by an independent certified public accountant who works with them on an assessment to determine whether the company and its security mechanisms meet the appropriate security standards established by the AICPA. AssuranceLab, a prominent Certified Public Practice accounting firm specialising in information security audits under SOC standards, successfully conducted Avarni's audit and is the foremost provider of SOC 2 reports in the ANZ region.

Achieving SOC 2 compliance reflects Avarni’s dedication to not only meeting but exceeding industry standards, cementing its position as a trusted partner for businesses seeking to decarbonise their supply chains and reduce their emissions footprint through AI-driven data analysis and measurement.

This certification reiterates Avarni’s commitment to protecting valuable information assets for both customers and their suppliers, with SOC 2 compliance confirming that at any point in time, Avarni’s industry-leading AI capabilities meet industry-standard security and privacy protocols. This certification reinforces to customer risk management teams that all cybersecurity requirements are continuously upheld and their data remains secure.

“We’re extremely proud of this achievement and remain committed to holding Avarni and our team to the highest data security, privacy and regulatory compliance standards,” said Avarni co-founder and co-CEO, Anuj Paudel. “External data access and supporting data analysis is at the core of Avarni’s platform and value offering. Our customers who entrust their data to us must remain reassured of the strength of our privacy posture and the ongoing work to strengthen our systems and technology in line with industry standards.”
